Three Months + Nine Days In...

Wow, what a ride this has been. From our soft opening to our celebratory family taco night to our first street dance to Pear Festival to our grand opening to Christmas in the Country, it has been a nonstop whirlwind of merchandising, Instagramming, dreaming, scheming, learning, + loving this new adventure!

Each day we get to meet and chat it up with longtime locals, with visitors who have loved Lake County since they came here every summer as a child, with tourists looking for the next wonderful place to sip some wine, + everyone in between. And we’ve learned more than we ever thought possible about food distribution, Square reports, social media marketing, + about a million other things.

Our favorite part? When someone comes in and immediately smiles, or tells us how good it smells, or shares just how much they love this new addition to downtown Kelseyville and to the county. Truly, it has been an honor to bring this dream to life, and we cannot wait to see what lies ahead.

That renovation life!

So, it turns out that turning an old quilt and antique shop into a bustling neighborhood general store is no small feat! Rip up 2,000 square feet of carpet? No problem! Sand down the entire floor to showcase the gorgeous concrete underneath? But of course! (pro tip: for that one, it's just best to hire a high school classmate who is a magician with masonry) Install all new plumbing for the wine bar? Absolutely! Paint almost every inch of the inside and outside? You bet!

Truly, we have relied heavily on our absolutely incredible friends, families, and contractors to get this work done. We've got a ways to go, but we can already picture the stacks of inventory, the bustling wine bar, the flower shop, the community gathering space. Stay tuned as we bring you along on our journey!
